Dynacare in Brampton, Ontario, is seeking a Lab Assistant to support specimen processing and data entry in a 100% on-site role. You will follow established protocols, ensure proper labeling, and maintain quality control to support downstream results that impact patient care.

This contract full-time position runs evenings with rotation, ending October 30, 2027. Ideal candidates have a secondary-school diploma and a Medical Laboratory Assistant training, plus MS Office proficiency and familiarity

Qualifications

• Completion of secondary-school level education and a recognized Medical Laboratory Assistant training program.
• Experience providing exceptional, professional customer focused service in a demanding and frequently changing environment.
• Demonstrated ability to self-manage, prioritize and collaborate in a team-oriented, high volume, time-sensitive environment.
• Proficiency in MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel) at an intermediate level.
• Knowledge of laboratory procedures and ability to apply that knowledge in troubleshooting issues and providing recommendations for solutions.

We’re looking for a Specimen Processing Laboratory Assistant's to join our team in Brampton, Ontario. As a Lab Assistant you will be responsible for processing of laboratory specimens and/or entering requisitions and/or results accurately and in a timely manner and ensuring quality control checks and standards are run as required. Your contributions will make a difference and will greatly impact the downstream solutions and treatment critical to saving someone’s life

Status- Contract Full time

Vacancy-Existing

Shift: Monday to Friday 7:00 PM to 3:00 AM; Rotational Saturday or Sunday 5:00 PM to 1:00 AM

End of Contract: October 30, 2027

Work style- 100% on site

MLPAO/CSMLS certification is strongly recommended

Working Conditions

• Normal office environment


• Medical laboratory environment


• Required walking with repetitive motions


• May sit or stand for prolonged period of time with extensive computer use


• Required to lift a maximum of 30 pounds as required


• Exposed to biohazardous substances, temperature differences and noise variances

Pay rate: 19.75- 23.50 per hour

The hiring pay range has been established; however, the final pay offer will be determined by taking into consideration various factors including but not limited to level of experience and education requirements
