Job summary

Dynacare is hiring a Lab Assistant Specimen Processing for its London, Ontario location. The role focuses on processing laboratory specimens, entering requisitions and results accurately, and maintaining quality control in a fast-paced environment.

The position is permanent, full-time with evening shifts (3:00 pm–11:00 pm; Mon–Fri plus rotating Saturdays). Start date ASAP; 37.5 hours per week.

Qualifications

• Completion of secondary-school education and a recognized Medical Laboratory Assistant training program.
• Experience providing exceptional, professional customer focused service in a demanding and frequently changing environment.
• Demonstrated ability to self-manage, prioritize and collaborate in a team-oriented, high volume, time-sensitive environment.
• Proficiency in MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel) at an intermediate level.
• Knowledge of laboratory procedures and ability to apply that knowledge in troubleshooting issues and providing recommendations for solutions.

Responsibilities

• Process laboratory specimens and/or entering requisitions and/or results accurately and in a timely manner; ensure data is correctly identified and labeled.
• Follow established protocols for handling of unsuitable samples and quality control checks.
• Respond courteously to client inquiries and problems; maintain professional communication.
• Contribute to overall lab operations and support team needs.

Position at Dynacare is looking for a Specimen Processing Laboratory Assistant to join our team in London, Ontario. As a Lab Assistant you will be responsible for processing of laboratory specimens and/or entering requisitions and/or results accurately and in a timely manner and ensure quality control checks and standards are run as required. Your contributions will make a difference and will greatly impact the downstream solutions and treatment critical to saving someone’s life.

Status: Permanent, Full-Time, (Guaranteed 37.5 hours a week)

Shift: Evening Shifts, 3:00 pm – 11:00 pm; Monday - Friday and rotational Saturday's, 12:00 pm -5:00 pm

Pay rate: $19.75 -$23.50 per hour

The hiring pay range has been established; however, the final pay offer will be determined by taking into consideration various factors including but not limited to, level of experience and education requirements.
