Job summary

Dynacare in Brampton, Ontario is seeking a Laboratory Assistant Specimen Processing to handle the processing of specimens, enter requisitions and results accurately, and support quality control in a high-volume setting. You will follow established protocols, ensure proper labeling, and assist with data entry and client inquiries, contributing to reliable lab operations and patient care.

Qualifications

• Completion of secondary-school level education and a recognized Medical Laboratory Assistant training program.
• Experience providing exceptional, professional customer focused service in a demanding and frequently changing environment.
• Demonstrated ability to self-manage, prioritize and collaborate in a team-oriented, high volume, time-sensitive environment.
• Proficiency in MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel) at an intermediate level.

Are YOU our next Lab Assistant Specimen Processing?

We’re looking for a Laboratory Assistant Specimen Processing to join our team in Brampton, Ontario. As a Lab Assistant you will be responsible for processing of laboratory specimens and/or entering requisitions and/or results accurately and in a timely manner and ensure quality control checks and standards are run as required. Your contributions will make a difference and will greatly impact the downstream solutions and treatment critical to saving someone’s life.

Status: Permanent Full-Time

Vacancy Type: Existing

Shift: Monday to Saturday 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. with a day off in lieu during the week. 5 days per week in total.

What YOU bring to the role:

• Completion of secondary-school level education and a recognized Medical Laboratory Assistant training program
• Experience providing exceptional, professional customer focused service in a demanding and frequently changing environment
• Demonstrated ability to self-manage, prioritize and collaborate in a team-oriented, high volume, time-sensitive environment
• Proficiency in MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel) at an intermediate level
• Knowledge of laboratory procedures and ability to apply that knowledge in troubleshooting issues and providing recommendations for solutions

Nice to have:

• Knowledge of AS400 Data Entry system/LIS

Working Conditions

Pay rate: $19.75-$23.50 per hour

The hiring pay range has been established; however, the final pay offer will be determined by taking into consideration various factors including but not limited to, level of experience and education requirements.
