Job summary

Pacer Group is seeking an IT systems administrator to handle hands-on OS installation and ongoing administration across Windows Server, Linux, and Unix.

The role emphasizes data center involvement, server deployments, infrastructure support, and hardware troubleshooting. Candidates should be comfortable with cabling, port mapping, and Cisco Layer 2 equipment, plus RAID/storage familiarity.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with OS installation and administration across Windows Server, Linux and Unix.
• Strong knowledge of Linux administration and Linux commands.
• Experience in Data Center/Lab environments including server deployment and infrastructure support.
• Understanding of data center cabling, port mapping, cable types and connectivity.
• Hardware troubleshooting skills with strong logical problem-solving abilities.

• Hands-on experience with Operating System installation and administration, including Windows Server, Linux, and Unix.
• Strong knowledge of Linux Administration and Linux commands.
• Experience working in Data Center / Lab environments, including server deployment and infrastructure support.
• Good understanding of data center cabling, port mapping, cable types, and connectivity.
• Knowledge of basic hardware troubleshooting with strong logical problem-solving and resolution skills.
• Experience with rack mounting, cabling, and deployment of Cisco Layer 2 networking equipment is a plus.
• Knowledge of RAID levels and storage configurations is preferred.
