Job summary

Toujours Mikes is seeking a kitchen supervisor who will lead the team in food preparation and ensure high standards of quality in a friendly and flexible work environment. The ideal candidate has experience in cooking and management, excels under pressure, and can effectively teach and supervise staff. Job description

As the person in charge, you will plan and direct the preparation of food and the cooking of dishes to bring out all the freshness and deliciousness of our menu!

Responsibilities
  • Plan and direct activities related to food preparation and cooking;
  • Teach cooks to prepare, cook, garnish and present food;
  • Explain new recipes and equipment to the kitchen staff;
  • Maintain a positive work environment;
  • Recruit and hire staff with the approval of the manager or franchisee;
  • Evaluate food and labor needs and costs;
  • Order food, supplies and kitchen equipment;
  • Ensure food quality is up to the standards;
  • Supervise the activities of the kitchen staff;
  • Apply hygiene and sanitation rules as well as occupational health and safety rules.
Skills & Qualifications
  • Experience in cooking and/or management;
  • Excellent analytical skills;
  • Excellent ability to work under pressure;
  • Ability to make decisions;
Schedule

Your work schedule will be fixed except for overtime. You will have to work evenings, weekends and some holidays. We always remain flexible to balance work, pleasure and personal life.
