Job summary

Silver Hotel Group is seeking a Kitchen Night Cleaner to join The Valhalla Hotel & Conference Centre in Northwestern Ontario. This temporary full-time role runs 11:00 pm–7:00 am for a 3-month period with potential extension.

Responsibilities include washing dishes, cleaning equipment, floors, and food prep areas while maintaining a safe, sanitary kitchen. No previous experience is required, but reliability and teamwork are essential.

Responsibilities

• Wash kitchen and banquet dishware, glassware and cutlery to ensure supplies.
• Clean dishwashing machines, jet components and related parts.
• Wipe stainless steel surfaces and prep areas.
• Wash pots, pans and utensils; clean display mirrors in kitchens.
• Clean ovens, stoves and hoods; maintain other kitchen equipment.
• Sweep and mop main kitchen floors; keep prep and cooking areas clean.
• Empty garbage and manage recycling as required.
• Break down boxes and manage waste areas for disposal.
• Clean loading dock daily and maintain staff cafeteria cleanliness.
• Ensure work area is clean and sanitized; assist with food prep when needed.

We are currently looking for aKitchen Night Cleanerto join the team. This temporary full time positionis a temporary contract role for a3 month period with possibility of extension. Then Kitchen Night Clean works from 11:00 pm to 7:00 am to set the stage for the food & beverage operations.

Key Responsibilities

Reporting to the Executive Chef, you will:

• Wash all main kitchen and banquet kitchen dishes, glassware, and cutlery to ensure sufficient supplies are available at all times;
• Clean the dishwashing machines, and jet components, including closing jet flaps;
• Clean staniless steel, prep areas.
• Wash pots and pans, including kitchen utensils. Wash display mirrors in the main kitchen and banquet kitchen;
• Clean ovens stoves and hoods;
• Clean other kitchen equipmnet as directed by the Executive Chef
• Sweep the main kitchen floor, ensuring no debris is left under prep/cook areas or stoves;Ensure floors are mopped and sanitized.
• Empty all garbage containers in the main kitchen and banquet kitchen into garbage dumpsters/recycling containers;
• Break down all empty boxes and deposit them into a trash compactor or designated pick-up area. Once compacted, tie broken boxes with wire;
• Clean loading dock daily;
• Clean/maintain the cleanliness of the staff cafeteria, dishes, and cutlery;
• Ensure the work area is clean and properly sanitized at all times;
• Any other duties as instructed by the Executive Chef or Manager on Duty, including food preparation.

• Ability to meet the physical aspects of the position including but not limited to:
  • Constant standing and walking throughout shift;
  • Frequent lifting and carrying up to 30 lbs;
  • Occasional kneeling, pushing, pulling;
  • Occasional ascending or descending ladders, stairs, and ramps;
• Ability to focus attention on guest needs, remaining calm and courteous at all times.
