Job summary

GSG Foods Inc. in Vancouver, BC is seeking a Kitchen helper who is self-motivated with good interpersonal skills. The position offers permanent full-time employment and LMIA eligibility. Start date as soon as possible.

You will handle dishwashing, food prep, table setup, linen replacement, cleaning and sanitising equipment, and assisting at counters. Training will be provided, and fluency in English is required.

Responsibilities

• Transport clean dishes, flatware, and items to serving areas and set tables.
• Move and replace linen as needed.

• Load buspans and trays and use dishwashers to clean items.
• Store dishes in the appropriate areas and replenish condiments.
• Handle and store cleaning products safely.
• Receive, unpack and store supplies in refrigerators and storage areas.
• Remove kitchen garbage and maintain clean work surfaces and floors.
• Wash, peel and cut vegetables and fruits as required.

• The candidate will be in charge of carrying and replacing linen.
• The candidate will be required to clean and sanitise items such as dishwasher mats, carts, and waste disposal units.
• The candidate must clear and clean tables, trays, and chairs.
• The candidate must load buspans and trays.
• The candidate will be expected to use dishwashers to clean dishes, glassware, and flatware.
• The candidate must place dishes in the storage area.
• The candidate must replenish condiments and other supplies at tables and serving areas.
• The candidate will be required to hand-sanitize and wash dishes and other items.
• The candidate will be expected to clean pots and pans.
