Job summary

Five Corners Vietnamese Restaurant Ltd in West Vancouver invites applications for a Kitchen helper to join our busy kitchen team. You will assist with dishwashing, dish handling, stocking, cleaning, and basic kitchen support in a fast-paced environment.

We welcome self-motivated individuals with good interpersonal skills, fluent English, and reliability. Training is provided, and full-time permanent employment is offered with 35 hours per week at $16.00 CAD per hour.

Responsibilities

• Clean and sanitise kitchen items and surfaces.
• Wash dishes, glassware and utensils.
• Stock refrigerators and salad bars.
• Clean, sanitize and organise work areas and equipment.
• Handle and store cleaning products safely.
• Receive, unpack and store supplies in appropriate storage areas.
• Remove kitchen garbage and keep floors clean (sweeping/mopping).

• The candidate will be required to clean and sanitise items such as dishwasher mats, carts, and waste disposal units.
• The candidate will be expected to use dishwashers to clean dishes, glassware, and flatware.
• The candidate will be expected to stock refrigerators and salad bars.
• The candidate must clean and sanitise the kitchen, including work surfaces, cabinets, storage areas, appliances, and equipment.
• The candidate will be required to handle and store cleaning products.
• The candidate will be responsible for receiving, unpacking and storing supplies in refrigerators, freezers, cupboards and other storage areas.
• The candidate will be responsible for removing kitchen garbage and trash regularly.
• The candidate will be responsible for sweeping, mopping, washing and polishing floors.
