Responsibilities

• Clean and sanitise kitchen surfaces, cabinets, storage areas, appliances, and equipment.
• Receive, unpack and store supplies in refrigerators, freezers, cupboards and other storage areas.
• Remove kitchen garbage and trash regularly.
• Sweep, mop, wash and polish floors.
• Wash, peel and cut vegetables and fruits.
• Order supplies and equipment.
• Inspect kitchens and food service areas.
• Keep inventory and records of food, supplies and equipment.
• Prepare and cook complete meals as well as individual dishes and foods.
• Plan menus, determine portions and estimate food requirements and costs.
