Job summary

The University of British Columbia Okanagan is hiring a Kitchen Attendant (Auxiliary) to support Food Services. You will be responsible for cleaning the kitchen, washing dishes, and maintaining storerooms, with emphasis on sanitary practices and waste management.

Reporting to the Food Services Manager, you may train new attendants and perform other duties as needed. The role requires flexibility to work varied hours and ensure a clean, safe kitchen environment.

Qualifications

• Grade 10 or equivalent; Food Safe Level 1 certification preferred.
• 1 year related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Responsibilities

• Clean the kitchen and wash dishes.
• Clean storerooms and manage waste in the kitchen.
• Train new Kitchen Attendants as required.
• Perform other duties as required.
