Job summary

Otter Co-op is hiring a Part-Time Kitchen Associate at the Highwayman Pub in Abbotsford, BC. You will report to the Kitchen Manager and help with food prep, dishwashing, stocking, and delivering meals while keeping a clean, sanitized kitchen.

Strong communication and a solid work ethic are essential. FoodSafe 1 is an asset, and prior kitchen experience is helpful. Evening/weekend availability is preferred.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication skills and ability to work efficiently in a team setting as well as independently in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong work ethic and reliability.
• This is a physical job requiring the ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 pounds occasionally.
• FoodSafe Level 1 is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Collect pans/dishes from the line.
• Assist with food preparations (cutting vegetables).
• Run food to tables and stock coolers/refrigerators.
• Ensure equipment and items are stored properly and kitchen remains clean and sanitized.
• Maintain quality and speed of output, and assist with various duties in kitchen operations.

Otter Co-op is now accepting applications for a Part** -Time Kitchen Associate at our Highwayman Pub**located in Abbotsford, BC.

What you’ll do:

Reporting to the Kitchen Manager, responsibilities for this position include the following:

• Collecting pans/dishes from the line
• Assisting with food preparations (cutting vegetables)
• Running food to the tables
• Stocking coolers and refrigerators and ensuringall equipment and other items are storedproperly
• Maintain a clean and orderly kitchen by washing dishes, sanitizing surfaces, taking out trash, etc.
• Comply with nutrition and sanitation guidelines
• Operate in a fast-paced manner to provide all areas of the restaurant with clean, sanitized dishware
• Assist with various duties such as portioning food and cleaning/sanitizing to assist kitchen operations
• Maintain quality andspeed of output
• Contribute to the Team in living the Corporate Values of Integrity, Community and Excellence
• Perform other duties as assigned

• Must be committed to a SAFE working environment

• Preferred candidates will have open availability and be able to work a variety of shifts 7 days a week, including evenings and weekends
