Job summary

Maple Leaf Sports & Entertainment is seeking a kitchen assistant with experience in a high-volume environment to support dishwashing operations at our Etobicoke facility. You will follow health and safety standards, assist with receiving supplies, and maintain cleanliness throughout the shift.

The role requires flexibility for early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays, with a 1-year contract ending June 30, 2027, at a pay rate of CAD 20 per hour. Location is at 400 Kipling Ave, Etobicoke.

Qualifications

  • Experience working in a high-volume kitchen.
  • Previous dishwashing experience in a fast-paced environment is an asset.
  • Knowledge of food safety standards.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Punctual and dependable.
  • Able to work early mornings, evenings, weekends and holidays.
  • Must be available for all Toronto Maple Leafs / Marlies practice dates.

Responsibilities

  • Operate and run the conveyor dishwashing machines and pot washer.
  • Scrape and thoroughly wash dishes, utensils, pots and pans.
  • Adhere to WHMIS and MSDS principles to safely handle cleaning supplies and other chemicals.
  • Sweep and mop floor, clean counters and shelves, and collect recycling and waste.
  • Assist in receiving and storage of incoming product and delivery of supplies.
  • Adhere to MLSE service standards and Health & Safety policies.
  • Perform other cleaning and kitchen duties as required.
