Job summary

Papa Johns Pizza in Langley, BC is hiring a Kitchen helper. The position is permanent full-time with day, evening, weekend, and flexible shifts. 5 vacancies, salary CAD 16.75–17.50 hourly, 30–40 hours per week. Training will be provided and LMIA approval confirmed. Start date as soon as possible.

Responsibilities include cleaning, dish preparation, food handling, order taking, and assisting with basic cooking tasks in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Fluent English language required.
• No formal education requirement; training provided.
• Training will be provided to the selected candidate.
• Must be able to handle weight up to 9 kg (20 lbs).

Responsibilities

• Clear and clean tables, trays and chairs.
• Place dishes in storage area.
• Sanitize and wash dishes by hand.
• Clean pots and pans.
• Track food quantities consumed.
• Package take-out food for customers.
• Portion and wrap foods.
• Prepare, heat and finish simple items.
• Serve customers at counters or buffet tables.
• Stock refrigerators and salad bars.
• Take customer orders.
• Clean, peel, slice and trim foods.
• Clean and sanitize the kitchen surfaces and equipment.
• Handle and store cleaning products safely.
• Receive, unpack and store supplies in storage areas.
• Remove kitchen garbage and trash regularly.
• Sweep, mop, wash and polish floors.
• Wash, peel and cut vegetables and fruits.
