Job summary

Brock University invites applications for CUPE4207-1 Teaching Assistant, Course Coordinator and Lab Demonstrator roles. Compensation is based on the employee's degree: undergraduate rate $23.30/hour and graduate rate $36.67/hour, with additional duties paid at TA rates. The contract will be a minimum of 30 hours and positions depend on course enrolments.

Qualifications

Must have obtained a degree in Kinesiology or equivalent.
Must have experience with or knowledge of the course material.
Prior teaching and/or research experience in the discipline is preferred.

Responsibilities

Scheduled contact time with students and non-classroom time (including preparation of seminar material, student consultation, marking or grading, examination proctoring, attending lectures, holding office hours, and other course administration as may be required).
The duties and responsibilities of the Teaching Assistant shall be in accordance with Article 22 of the CUPE Local 4207, Unit 1, Collective Agreement.
These are made up of scheduled contact time with students and non-classroom time (including preparation of seminar material, student consultation, marking or grading, examination proctoring, attending lectures, holding office hours, and other course administration as may be required).
