Job summary

Lifemark Health Group in Calgary is seeking a Kinesiology RTW Coordinator to join our work-related injury and return-to-work program. The role requires strong interpersonal skills and the ability to negotiate modified or full return-to-work plans with employers.

You will perform site assessments, coordinate stakeholders, design gradual return-to-work strategies, and document all visits. A university Kinesiology degree and registration eligibility with AKA are required; 2+ years of clinical

Qualifications

  • Graduate of university Kinesiology degree program.
  • Registration with or eligibility for registration with the Alberta Kinesiology Association (AKA).
  • 2+ years of clinical experience is considered an asset.
  • Experienced in WCB assessments is considered an asset.
  • Word processing skills are considered an asset.
  • Negotiation skills are considered an asset.

Responsibilities

  • Performing return-to-work planning meetings (worksite assessments to determine critical job demands and negotiate modified or full return to work plans with employers) both in person and virtually in the Calgary and surrounding area.
  • Coordinate worksite assessments with various stakeholders.
  • Design and implement gradual return to work plans based on client’s functional abilities.
  • Complete reporting and data collection records for all worksite visits.
  • Work cooperatively with clients and clinicians to update return to work plans as the client progresses through the treatment program.
  • Work in a fast paced interdisciplinary environment.
  • Participate in weekly team meetings with treatment teams to coordinate and progress clients RTW planning.

Lifemark Father David Bauer Arena has assembled an outstanding team of physiotherapists, occupational therapists, kinesiologists and psychologists to treat work-related and motor vehicle accident injuries as well as orthopedic and sports related injuries. We are seeking an outgoing Kinesiologist with excellent interpersonal skills to contribute to our return to work program!

In this role your duties may include:
  • Performing return-to-work planning meetings (worksite assessments to determine critical job demands and negotiate modified or full return to work plans with employers) both in person and virtually) in the Calgary and surrounding area.
