Job summary

Lifemark Physiotherapy Carlingwood Mall in Ottawa is seeking a Kinesiologist to join our multi-disciplinary team. This permanent full-time position offers an opportunity to contribute to high-quality patient care in a busy clinic.

You will conduct assessments, design exercise programs, and support return-to-work plans, with mentorship from a physiotherapist. A degree in Kinesiology and Ontario registration are required; 1–5 years in Occupational Rehabilitation are a plus.

Qualifications

• Registered with the College of Kinesiology of Ontario.
• Graduate of university Kinesiology degree program.
• 1–5 years of work experience in Occupational Rehabilitation is considered an asset.

Responsibilities

• Perform biomechanical, fitness, and functional assessments under the mentorship and direction of a physiotherapist.
• Design, implement and supervise graded exercise, work conditioning and/or work hardening programs.
• Perform biweekly reassessment of client progress through functional testing.
• Record functional and subjective findings in client charts on a regular basis.
• Work cooperatively with clients to set and achieve functional goals.
• Conduct group orientation and education lectures and regular one-on-one education to clients.
• Complete functional components of reports for initial, progress and discharge.
• Ensure return to work plans with client and employer have been made and documented in the client chart.
