Job description

Kinesiologist Job in Calgary, AB

Momentum Health is hiring for a part-time Kinesiologist job in Calgary, AB, and we're looking for someone who wants hands-on clinical experience while working toward the next step in their healthcare career. This role is based at our Seton location, where you'll join a full multidisciplinary team supporting patients through physiotherapy, chiropractic care, massage therapy, athletic therapy, and sport medicine, all under one roof. The position is available as soon as possible, with hours running Monday to Saturday from 7am to 11am and additional coverage shifts as clinic needs arise, so you'll want to be able to commit to at least a one-year term. Our mission, and the reason we call ourselves Momentum Health, is to help patients find and keep their momentum through injury, chronic conditions, and performance goals alike, and as a Kinesiologist here, you'll be part of making that happen day to day.

A team built on collaboration, not silos

At Momentum Health, our clinicians see themselves as partners in each patient's journey back to work, sport, and daily life, not just providers moving people through appointments. Our Seton clinic reflects that approach with dedicated exam rooms and a purpose-built gym and rehab space, plus a steady referral base from family medicine and allied health professionals across Calgary. You'll work alongside physiotherapists, chiropractors, and massage therapists day to day, and you'll have a front-row seat to programs like GLA:D Back, Hip & Knee, Shoulder, and our Concussion Program. Across our clinics, we bring together disciplines ranging from physiotherapy and chiropractic care to massage therapy, athletic therapy, physiatry, and sport medicine, which means you'll be learning in an environment built around evidence-informed, collaborative care rather than one discipline working in isolation.

A genuine stepping stone, not just a job

Momentum Health has a track record of supporting Kinesiologists who are building toward the next stage of their careers: over 31 Kinesiologists who's worked with us have gone on to be accepted into Physiotherapy, Chiropractic, and other healthcare programs. Whether Kinesiology is your long-term path or a stepping stone to something else, you'll be trusted with real clinical responsibility from the start, prescribing and supervising therapeutic exercise programs, assisting with physiotherapy assessments, and learning hands-on techniques like trigger point release, myofascial release, and instrument-assisted soft tissue work alongside clinicians who are actively mentoring you. It's also a role with room to grow into: the flexible scheduling built into this position, along with the option to pick up additional coverage hours as the clinic needs them, makes it realistic to balance the job with coursework, prerequisites, or applications while you're still building your resume.

Compensation:

  • $18-20 CAD per hour

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Kinesiology
  • Excellent knowledge of anatomy and physiology
  • Previous volunteer or work experience in a physiotherapy or multidisciplinary clinic is an asset

  • Assist with physiotherapy assessments and re-evaluations

  • Apply and remove modalities including heat, ice, ultrasound, TENS, IFC, micro-current, and muscle stimulatio
  • Assist with clinic upkeep, such as laundry, cleaning patient beds, filling ultrasound gel, and cleaning machines and tools
  • Greet patients and help ensure they have a comfortable experience in the clinic
  • etwork with other professionals in the field, including physiotherapists, chiropractors, naturopathic doctors, and registered massage therapists

Skills:

  • Positive energy and a passion for contributing to a collaborative work environment
