Responsibilities

• Apply and remove modalities (heat, ice, ultrasound, TENS, IFC, micro-current).
• Assist with clinic upkeep and patient comfort.
• Greet patients and support a positive clinic experience.
• Network with physiotherapists, chiropractors, naturopathic doctors, and massage therapists.

Employment Type: Full-Time

Momentum Health is hiring for a Coverage Kinesiologist job in Calgary, AB, working across all of the company’s clinics rather than being tied to one location. This casual position gives you exposure to a wide range of clinicians, disciplines, and models of care you would not get in a stationary role, and it fits around other commitments since hours are variable between 7 AM and 8 PM depending on the coverage shift needed that day. The role pays $20 to $22 per hour, with no guaranteed hours, making it a flexible way to build experience alongside other commitments you may already have.

Momentum Health builds each clinician’s path from the ground up through its VTO process, where management works with you to set individualized goals based on how you want to grow and practice. As a coverage team member, you’ll have access to the Clinical Development Program, which pairs you with mentorship from experienced clinicians tailored to your interests. Working across Creekside, Deerfoot, Mahogany, Ogden, Seton, Westbrook, West Springs, Evidence North, Evidence South, and National Spine & Wellness also puts you first in line for new opportunities within the group, so this role can serve as a stepping stone rather than a fixed position.

Momentum Health has hosted more than 200 professional student placements over the past decade, and over 40 of the Kinesiologists who came through the practice have gone on to be accepted into Physiotherapy school while working here. This track record reflects how much emphasis the practice places on structured mentorship rather than simply staffing coverage shifts. You’ll also work alongside physiotherapists, chiropractors, naturopathic doctors, and registered massage therapists, building relationships across disciplines as you go.

Responsibilities:

• Prescribe, apply, supervise, and educate patients on Therapeutic Exercise Programs, including AROM, PROM, stretching, proprioception, coordination, balance, and strengthening
• Assist with physiotherapy assessments and re-evaluations
• Learn and administer hands‑on treatment techniques, including basic trigger point release, MRT, instrumented soft tissue release, friction massage, and hold‑relax stretching
• Apply and remove modalities, including heat, ice, ultrasound, TENS, IFC, micro‑current, and muscle stimulation
• Assist with clinic upkeep, such as laundry, cleaning patient beds, filling ultrasound gel, and cleaning machines and tools
• Greet patients and help ensure a comfortable clinic experience
• Network with other professionals in the field, including physiotherapists, chiropractors, naturopathic doctors, and registered massage therapists
