Seeking: Registered Kinesiologist
Part-time, contract position with future possibility to increase to full-time

Carrie Doll Kinesiology (CDK) is currently a 100% mobile company providing exercise therapy to clients in the Waterloo Region. CDK clientele include seniors, those with chronic conditions such as osteoporosis, arthritis, and those with neurological conditions such as stroke, MS, Parkinson’s, and spinal cord injuries. CDK is seeking a personable and passionate Registered Kinesiologist to join the team. The successful candidate will make a direct impact on the lives of the clients by travelling to client’s homes or community locations to guide and assist them in purposeful exercise. Our goal is to improve the quality of life of our clients through personal, connected, empathetic Care.
Experience with working with seniors and neurological conditions are preferred, but not required.The successful candidate will work independently with clients with various chronic conditions, with opportunities to connect and collaborate with the team
Location:
Primary Duties:
- Initial assessments for new clients and re-assessments using appropriate assessment procedures for the client’s unique and identified needs
- Communicate assessment findings in a way the client can understand
- Implement plan in a safe, ethical, and empathic manner, while adjusting the plan to accommodate clients needs at the time
- Maintain accurate electronic medical records (EMR) for all patient interactions and treatment outcomes
- Other tasks to be compliant with college standards
- Collaborate with family members, facility staff, other registered health care professionals etc when appropriate
- Participate in promotional activities such as presentations, creating blog posts and others
- Follow infection control procedures
- Other duties as required
Qualifications and experience:
- Bachelor of Kinesiology
- Member in good standing with College of Kinesiologists of Ontario (required)
- Valid First Aid, CPR and AED certification (required)
- BoneFit Trained preferred but not required
- NDT trained preferred but not required
- Experience in senior wellness space preferred but not required
- Experience in neurological rehab preferred but not required
- Access to reliable vehicle in your own name with appropriate insurance (required)
- Own password protected computer and phone
- Ability to meet the physical demands of the job (ex. stand, bend, walk, crouch, kneel, and ability to assist clients with standing, walking, sitting, transfers etc)
