Job summary

Momentum Health in Calgary is seeking a Part-Time enthusiastic Kinesiologist to join our multidisciplinary clinic. The successful candidate must commit to at least a one-year term with potential to move to full-time. Start date: As soon as possible.

Compensation: $18-$20 per hour. Required Hours: Tuesday 10:00am-6:00pm, Thursday 10:00am-6:00pm, and Wednesday 11:45am-7:45pm. You will contribute to therapeutic exercise programs, assist physiotherapy assessments, learn hands-on techniques, apply

Qualifications

• Degree in Kinesiology.
• Excellent knowledge of anatomy and physiology.
• Previous volunteer or work experience in a Physiotherapy or Multidisciplinary clinic an asset.

Responsibilities

• Prescription, application, supervision and education of patient’s Therapeutic Exercise Programs including: AROM, PROM, stretching, proprioception, coordination, balance and strengthening.
• Assist Physiotherapy assessments and re-evaluations.
• Learn and administer several hands-on treatment techniques including basic trigger point release, MRT, Instrumented Soft Tissue Release, Friction massage and hold relax stretching.
• Application and removal of modalities including heat, ice, ultrasound, TENS, IFC, micro-current and Muscle Stimulation.
• Assisting with clinic up-keep such as laundry, cleaning patient beds, filling ultrasound gel, and cleaning machines and tools.
• Greet patients and ensure they have a comfortable experience in the clinic.
• A wonderful opportunity to network with other professionals in the field such as physiotherapists, chiropractors, naturopathic doctors, and registered massage therapists.

Our multidisciplinary clinic has an open rehab space that promotes true collaboration between clinicians.We have a large referral base from family medicine and allied health professionals throughout Calgary and always are working on new partnerships. The clinic offers innovative programs such as GLA:D Back, GLA:D Hip & Knee as well as collaborative care with Physiotherapists, Chiropractors, Massage Therapists and otherdisciplines all in-house!

Exceptional patient service, collaborative care and continued growth and improvement are highly valued at Momentum Health. We are presently seeking a Part-Time enthusiastic Kinesiologist to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate must be able to commit to at least a one-year term. This position has the potential to move to full-time.
