Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Education, Early Childhood focus preferred.
  • Valid Saskatchewan Professional 'A' Teaching Certificate.
  • Experience teaching young children in an educational setting.
  • Knowledge of First Nations culture, values and language is an asset.
  • Strong classroom management and interpersonal skills.
  • Current Criminal Record Check and Vulnerable Sector Check.

Job description

Pasqua First Nation is seeking a dedicated and passionate Kindergarten Teacher to join our school team for the 20262027 academic year. This position is ideal for a caring and creative educator who is committed to fostering early childhood development in a culturally responsive learning environment.

Responsibilities
  • Plan and implement developmentally appropriate lessons and activities.
  • Foster a safe, nurturing, and inclusive classroom environment that promotes Indigenous language, culture, and traditions.
  • Collaborate with educational assistants, support staff, families, and community members to support student growth.
  • Monitor student progress and provide regular updates to parents and school leadership.
  • Participate in school-wide initiatives, professional development, and community-based events.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor of Education (Early Childhood Education focus preferred).
  • A valid Saskatchewan Professional "A" Teaching Certificate.
  • Experience working with young children in an educational setting.
  • Knowledge and understanding of First Nations culture, values, and language (an asset).
