Job Duties
  • To provide instruction and to facilitate interactive practical experiences for students in the Early Childhood Education diploma program.
  • Be flexible and responsive to learner needs using appropriate instructional methodologies in support of a blended learning experience.
  • Provide appropriate evaluation, assessment, and feedback to students on the required learning platform (Brightspace).
  • Plan and deliver content and learning activities that reflect the values, beliefs, needs, and contributions of a culturally diverse community.
  • Manage the classroom to ensure an optimum learning environment.
  • Maintain and update curriculum materials.
  • Work co-operatively in an interdependent team environment.
  • Engage in professional development opportunities to remain current with employer and educational requirements.
  • Develop working relationships with appropriate external partners and employers and, as required, arrange and supervise students in practical work placements.
  • Follow policies and procedures adopted by Saskatchewan Polytechnic.
  • Attend program and school meetings.

  • Two years’ recent and relevant experience working in an Early Learning and Childcare Education setting as an Early Childhood Educator, Teacher, or ECE Instructor.

  • Demonstrated competence and recent experience in the use of the internet, e-mail, and MS Office Suite software, with the ability to learn and adapt to changing technology.
