Start Date: September 1, 2026
Salary: $64,341.00 - $121,722.00 + ($3,500.00 provincial recruitment and retention allowance)
Assignment: .40 Continuing Position

  • PRIMARY TEACHER (KINDERGARTEN/GRADE 1)
Qualifications
  • Bachelor of Education (Elementary).
  • A valid BC teaching certificate and current membership with The Ministry of Education and Childcare.
  • Ability to assist students as needed in a variety of curriculum areas at primary grade levels.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain a positive classroom learning environment that engages students in active learning experiences.
  • Demonstrated ability to use inclusive instruction to meet the learning needs of diverse learners.
  • Demonstrated knowledge and experience in working from an inclusion perspective to address diverse learning needs.
  • Understand and use a trauma‑informed approach in professional practice.
  • Experience and knowledge using competency‑based assessment strategies.
  • Experience in differentiating instruction to create success in learning for each student.
  • Experience in integrating appropriate technologies into instructional practices to improve learning outcomes for students.
