Qualifications

• Bachelor of Education (Secondary).
• Minimum completion of 3rd and 4th year university coursework for senior curricula.
• A valid BC teaching certificate and current membership in The Ministry of Education and Childcare.
• Ability to assist students in senior grades across curricula.
• Experience in online curriculum development and delivery to BC K-12 standards.
• Expertise in educational technologies for teaching, including course management software and synchronous/asynchronous delivery.
• Ability to deliver online programs via Moodle and Brightspace.
• Flexibility in accommodating ragged entry/exit in online courses.
• Strong technological literacy and interest in technology integration.
• Proven ability to communicate with parents, students and staff via online platforms (audio, video, email, phone, chat).

Qualifications (Online Education Focus)

• Bachelor of Education (Secondary).
• Minimum completion of 3rd and 4th year level university coursework necessary for teaching the senior level curricula that are part of this assignment.
• A valid BC teaching certificate and current membership in The Ministry of Education and Childcare.
• Ability to assist students as needed in a variety of curriculum areas at senior grade levels.
• Experience in online curriculum development and delivery in accordance with the standards for K-12 online learning in B.C.
• Expertise in the use of educational technologies for teaching and learning, especially course management software and both synchronous and asynchronous online delivery software.
• Able to utilize technology to deliver components of online programs designed for online delivery via learning management systems (Moodle and Brightspace).
• Able to cope with ragged entry and exit for students by providing flexible learning opportunities in the online courses delivered.
• A high degree of technological literacy demonstrating an interest in technology integration.
• Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively using online communication platforms (audio, video, email, phone, chat) with parents, students and staff.
