Job summary

Wolfcreek is seeking a part-time Educational Assistant to support Kindergarten students with diverse needs in an inclusive classroom. This 0.45 FTE role covers Tuesday, Thursday, and occasional Friday sessions for the 2026/2027 school year.

The selected candidate will help with one-on-one and small-group activities, support behavioural regulation, and collaborate with teachers to create a caring learning environment.

Qualifications

• Experience working with students with complex needs in a Kindergarten classroom
• Ability to formulate strong and healthy relationships
• Effective oral and written communication skills
• Strong interpersonal skills and a positive personality
• Calm and patient approach to solving problems and assisting with co-regulation
• Willingness to work collaboratively in a team-orientated learning environment
• Ability to work one-on-one or with a student in an inclusive environment
• Background and/or experience with complex behavioural needs
• Ability to be flexible in assigned duties; may include personal care, hygiene, and assisting with meals

Responsibilities

• Provide assistance to students with diverse needs within an inclusive classroom
• Assist with Kindergarten duties on Tuesdays, Thursdays and occasional Fridays
• Support one-on-one or small-group learning in a supportive, patient manner
• Assist with personal care, hygiene, and meals as needed in a respectful environment
