Placements24 is seeking an experienced Mechanical Maintenance Supervisor to lead the maintenance team in Kimberley. You will plan and execute preventative and corrective maintenance on heavy industrial equipment, supervise technicians, and ensure safety and reliability.

The ideal candidate has a national diploma or degree in mechanical engineering, 6+ years in maintenance with 2+ in supervision, CMMS experience, and strong leadership and problem-solving skills.

Qualifications

• National Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• 6+ years in mechanical maintenance with 2+ years in supervision.
• Experience with heavy industrial machinery and CMMS.

Responsibilities

• Supervise daily activities of the mechanical maintenance team.
• Develop and manage preventative maintenance programs for plant machinery.
• Oversee troubleshooting and repair of pumps, motors, gearboxes, and conveyors.
• Ensure adherence to health, safety and environmental regulations.
• Manage spare parts inventory and procurement.
• Train and mentor maintenance technicians.
• Perform regular performance reviews and provide feedback.
• Collaborate with production and engineering to minimize downtime.
• Maintain maintenance records and generate status reports.
• Participate in capital project planning related to mechanical equipment.
