Job summary

KidStrong in Calgary is seeking an Assistant General Manager for the West Calgary centre. You will partner with the General Manager to drive centre performance, coach development, and member retention while delivering exceptional experiences for families and staff.

You'll oversee operations, sales activities, and coaching quality, balancing business results with a supportive, energetic culture. The role requires leadership, communication, and a hands-on approach with children and teams.

Qualifications

• Athletic or coaching background with experience working with kids ages 15 months to 11 years old; passion for working with children is essential.
• Achieve Coach Certification through the HQ Training and Certification team.
• Complete training through KidStrong University as required by HQ Training and Certification team.
• Prior experience as a pediatric OT/PT is a plus, but not required.
• Previous experience in management is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Understand the centre’s key KPIs and financials to make informed business decisions.
• Build and maintain relationships with KidStrong families to provide exceptional customer service.
• Oversee center initiatives such as maintenance, training, and brand consistency.
• Daily, weekly, and monthly cleaning and maintenance of the centre.
• Sell and schedule events such as camps and parties to maximize profitability.
• Lead coaching quality and onboarding with the General Manager.
