La Vie en Rose in Montreal at Hillcrest Mall is hiring for a permanent, full-time sales associate. The role centers on advising customers to maximize sales, assisting with merchandise, and delivering a superior shopping experience in a fast-paced retail environment.

You’ll welcome customers, explain product features, and help them find what they need. Flexibility for peak periods and holidays is expected; bilingualism is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Provide customers with a warm welcome and assist in finding products.
• Answer questions, explain products and suggest related items.
• Be available in the fitting room to assist customers.
• Meet and exceed personal sales goals with training support.
• Manage the sales floor in the absence of store managers.
• Prepare and display products to create a memorable shopping experience.
• Keep the store and backstore clean and organized.
• Identify new products and share top picks with customers.
• Escort customers to the cash register and process transactions.
• Respect head office policies and procedures; perform other duties as needed to support the team.

Under the supervision of the store management team, you will be responsible for advising customers to maximize sales potential as well as opening and closing the store. To perform your job well, you will need to:

• Provide customers with a warm welcome;
• Help them find everything they’re looking for—answer their questions, explain the products (quality, materials, technical features) and suggest other products they might like;
• Make yourself available when customers are in the fitting room;
• Meet and exceed your personal sales goals (our training will help you get there!);
• Manage the sales floor when your managers aren’t there;
• Prepare, identify and place products on the sales floor to provide a memorable shopping experience;
• Ensure everything is clean and tidy in the store and backstore;
• Be on the lookout for new products so you can share your top picks with your customers;
• Accompany customers to the cash register and process their transactions;
• Respect and apply the policies and procedures of the various head office departments (don’t worry, we’ll explain everything to you!);
• Perform other duties where needed to support the team.
