About The Role
DNV is seeking a Key Customer Manager who will lead the business development work for new Key Customers for our Business Assurance North America group. The Key Customer Manager will actively build relations with key decision makers and influencers in the Customer’s organization and stakeholders, enabling deep understanding and foresight of customer needs. The position is responsible for achieving sales targets.

This role represents the entire range of company products and services to Key Customers. Responsible for the satisfaction and retention of Key Customer accounts, with an emphasis on increasing sales in line with sales objectives.

Working closely with the Market & Industries Team, Regional Managers, Area Sales teams, Assurance and Supply Chain (ASC) leadership team, the sales network, and operations, this position requires collaboration and results achievement, sometimes through others.

This role is 100% remote within Canada.

What You'll Do

  1. Actively build relations with key decision makers and influencers in the Customer’s organization and stakeholders, enabling deep understanding and foresight of customer needs.
  2. Develop an understanding of the Key Customer (and its subsidiaries and affiliates) needs and challenges in all respects, including organization, geographical spread, offering, business structure, environment, existing DNV relationships, as well as their vision, values, financials, and culture.
  3. Coordinate business development and sales initiatives across other DNV units related to Key Customers.
  4. Contribute to the design and roll-out of new services, providing ideas and collaboration to business development, including defining sales actions and engaging peers in promotion.
  5. Act as an ambassador of trusted partnership and be responsible for the success and growth of Key Customer relationships.
  6. Work closely with the Market & Industries, ASC, CERT sales leadership teams, Area Sales Teams, and sales network to achieve results, goals, and KPIs.
  7. Achieve assigned sales objectives within designated strategic accounts.
  8. Maintain high customer satisfaction ratings meeting company standards.
  9. Stay updated on new technologies, market conditions, and competitive intelligence to serve existing customers better, cultivate prospects, and grow revenue.
  10. Collaborate with Key Customer Project Managers and Account Officers to proactively assess, clarify, and validate contractual obligations and needs.
  11. Apply pricing, rates, discounts, and T&Cs according to DNV procedures and authority levels.
  12. Prepare, update, and maintain customer business plans.
