Laurus Lifestyles Inc is seeking an enthusiastic Karate Instructor to lead a weekly after-school program at Kells Academy in NDG, Montreal. The class runs Thursdays, 3:10 p.m. – 4:10 p.m., for Kindergarten to Grade 4 learners. You will introduce students to karate fundamentals in a safe, engaging environment.

Plan and deliver structured lessons, adapt activities for mixed ages, and promote values like respect and teamwork to keep children active and engaged.

Qualifications

  • Experience practicing and/or teaching karate or another relevant martial art.
  • Experience working with children, particularly elementary-school-aged children.
  • Strong communication and group-management skills.
  • Energetic, patient, dependable, and comfortable working with younger children.
  • Ability to create an inclusive and encouraging learning environment.
  • Teaching, coaching, or martial arts instructor certification is considered an asset.

Position Overview

Laurus is looking for an enthusiastic and engaging Karate Instructor to lead a weekly after-school karate program for children from Kindergarten to Grade 4 at Kells Academy in NDG.

The instructor will introduce students to the fundamentals of karate in a safe, positive, age-appropriate, and fun environment. The program should help children develop coordination, confidence, focus, discipline, and respect while keeping them active and engaged.
