POSITION SUMMARY

The Junior Technical Advisor (TA) will support the Technical Advisor in ensuring Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) compliance during the Wind Turbine Generator (WTG) installation process. The Junior TA will assist in providing technical expertise and guidance on mechanical and electrical installations of Nordex wind turbines and components, working closely with the customer's Balance of Plant (BOP) contractor to maintain quality standards.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

Support HSE Compliance efforts by actively monitoring and reporting any deviations during the WTG installation process.

Assist in providing guidance to the BOP contractor to meet Nordex quality standards for a successful handover.

Learn and provide technical support on mechanical and electrical activities to ensure project requirements are met.

Assist in documenting and reporting any deviations noticed during installation work.

Support oversight of mechanical works to ensure adherence to installation instructions.

Assist in managing tooling reception, use, and handover to maintain project readiness.

Participate in inspections and quality control checks to ensure compliance with project standards.

Support documentation management for handovers to the customer and BOP contractor.

Assist in building and maintaining positive relationships with customers and subcontractors.

Provide support in daily progress reporting activities.

Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.

WHAT YOU HAVE

Associate’s degree in mechanical or electrical engineering or related discipline, or equivalent related work experience accepted.

Entry-level experience in mechanical, electrical, or construction fields is preferred.

Basic understanding of quality management and quality control processes.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.

Willingness to learn and gain on-site wind turbine assembly experience.

Ability to spend 100% of the time at the wind farms during the construction process.

French proficiency is highly preferred for work in Quebec.

Must be able to work in Canada with no Company sponsorship and have the ability to obtain a US passport.

Ability to successfully complete all Canadian regulatory laws surrounding pre-employment screening requirements.

Driving is an essential function of the job. Must possess a full valid driver’s license and be insurable under our auto insurance policy. This position will be subject to periodic driver’s abstract checks to confirm continued insurability.

Strong communication skills and ability to build relationships with stakeholders.

Ability to travel as needed

Ability to meet safety equipment operational specifications.

The pay for this role is non-exempt at $36.00 - $40.00 CAD hourly with up to a 5% bonus. Individual compensation packages are based on various factors unique to each candidate, including skill set, experience, qualifications, and other job-related reasons
