Junior Structural Designer/ Drafter
Klohn Crippen Berger Ltd.’s (“KCB”) Power and Transportation Group has an immediate opening for a
Junior Structural Designer/ Drafter to join our Vancouver office
. This role will work on heavy civil infrastructure projects, including Hydroelectric, Transportation, and Marine facilities. The successful candidate will work as part of a project team, and alongside accomplished managers, engineers, designers, and drafters.
You will have the opportunity to:
- Be involved in all aspects of multidisciplinary design and drafting
- Create civil and/or structural layouts and conceptual plans
- Prepare detailed design drawings (civil, structural concrete, structural steel, and reinforcing steel detailing)
- Ensure compliance with KCB’s Quality Management System (QMS) and our clients’ quality standards
We value your:
- Diploma of Civil/Structural Engineering, or Certificate of Structural Drafting from a recognized technical institution
- 2+ years’ experience in Civil/Structural engineering design drafting
- High level of proficiency in the use of AutoCAD or Revit
- Proficiency with the use of external reference files and layer naming conventions
- Working understanding of survey and geomatics data
- Experience with hydroelectric facilities and/or BC Hydro CAD standards an asset
- Familiarity with GIS an asset
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
The salary for this position is $65,000 to $75,000 per year. Salary is based on applicable experience, education, and skill level.
