Qualifications

• 2+ years’ experience in Civil/Structural engineering design drafting.
• Experience with hydroelectric facilities and BC Hydro CAD standards is an asset.
• Familiarity with GIS is an asset.

Junior Structural Designer/ Drafter

Klohn Crippen Berger Ltd.’s (“KCB”) Power and Transportation Group has an immediate opening for a Junior Structural Designer/ Drafter to join our Vancouver office. This role will work on heavy civil infrastructure projects, including Hydroelectric, Transportation, and Marine facilities. The successful candidate will work as part of a project team, and alongside accomplished managers, engineers, designers, and drafters.

You will have the opportunity to:

• Be involved in all aspects of multidisciplinary design and drafting
• Create civil and/or structural layouts and conceptual plans
• Prepare detailed design drawings (civil, structural concrete, structural steel, and reinforcing steel detailing)
• Ensure compliance with KCB’s Quality Management System (QMS) and our clients’ quality standards
  
  

We value your:

• Diploma of Civil/Structural Engineering, or Certificate of Structural Drafting from a recognized technical institution
• 2+ years’ experience in Civil/Structural engineering design drafting
• High level of proficiency in the use of AutoCAD or Revit
• Proficiency with the use of external reference files and layer naming conventions
• Working understanding of survey and geomatics data
• Experience with hydroelectric facilities and/or BC Hydro CAD standards an asset
• Familiarity with GIS an asset
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
  
  

The salary for this position is $65,000 to $75,000 per year. Salary is based on applicable experience, education, and skill level.
