Job summary

Upper James Toyota in Hamilton, Ontario is seeking a Junior Service Advisor to join the Service team and learn all aspects of the role alongside experienced staff.

You will welcome clients, coordinate service visits, assist with vehicle walkarounds, and provide timely updates while maintaining a clean, welcoming service area. This role offers growth opportunities and a supportive team in a busy dealership environment.

Qualifications

• Grade 12 education or equivalent.
• Ontario G driver’s licence and clean driver’s abstract.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Good computer skills and comfort learning new systems.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Positive, professional and team-oriented approach.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Welcoming clients and helping coordinate their service visit from check-in through vehicle pickup.
• Assisting Service Advisors with vehicle walkarounds, including photos and videos.
• Responding to client calls, emails, texts and voicemails.
• Providing clients with timely updates on their vehicle.
• Coordinating transportation needs, including shuttle rides and rentals.
• Opening, preparing and closing repair orders in PBS.
• Communicating with technicians, Parts, Sales and our BDC to keep work moving efficiently.
• Reviewing completed work and declined services with clients.
• Processing payments and issuing receipts.
• Helping maintain a clean, organized and welcoming Service area.
• Completing assigned product, process and dealership training.

Upper James Toyota is looking for a Junior Service Advisor to join our Service team.

What You’ll Do

As a Junior Service Advisor, you’ll be an important part of the day-to-day operation of our Service Department. Your responsibilities will include:

What We’re Looking For

You don’t need to be an experienced Service Advisor. We’re looking for someone with the right attitude, strong people skills and a genuine interest in learning.

You should have:

• Grade 12 education or equivalent
• A valid Ontario G driver’s licence and clean driver’s abstract
• Strong communication and customer service skills
• Good computer skills and comfort learning new systems
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• The ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
• A positive, professional and team-oriented approach
