Job summary

LAPORTE in Saskatoon, Canada, is seeking a Refrigeration Engineer with 1 to 2 years of experience in industrial refrigeration system design and analysis. Reporting to the Lead Engineer, you will contribute to the design, analysis, and implementation of refrigeration systems for food & beverage, pharmaceutical, and biotech process systems.

This hybrid role offers collaboration with a multi-disciplinary team, CAD drafting in AutoCAD, and the opportunity to advance in a company that values autonomy

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of experience in industrial refrigeration system design and analysis.
• Member of a Canadian provincial Engineering Association (P.Eng or EIT).
• Familiarity with ammonia and CO2 refrigeration systems and related codes.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate on the design and analysis of refrigeration plants and systems.
• Perform CAD drafting of refrigeration system schematics and layouts in AutoCAD.
• Supervise and perform drafting of refrigeration system schematics and layouts in Revit and/or Plant3D.
• Conduct safety and code compliance audits.
• Participate in developing refrigeration-related SOPs, HAZOPS, and other safety analyses.
• Conduct site inspections of refrigeration systems.
• Write, format, and proofread specifications, proposals, reports, templates, and other documents.
• Organize and maintain project records.
• Provide support and build relationships with new and existing clients.
• Collaborate with internal and external team members to ensure project success.
