Job summary

Zéro-C invites you to join as a Junior Refrigeration Designer, working closely with our Vice President of Sales who will mentor you through every stage of the design process, including client meetings and site visits to understand customer needs.

You will translate requirements into technical solutions, coordinate project initiation, and act as the main contact between clients, the engineering team, and stakeholders to ensure clear communication and on-time delivery.

Qualifications

• DEC in Building Mechanical Engineering or Bachelor’s in Mechanical/Construction Engineering.
• Minimum 3 years of relevant experience.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, Word).
• Proficiency with AutoCAD software.

Responsibilities

• Participate in client meetings and site visits to understand customer needs and translate them into technical solutions.
• Coordinate follow-up for project initiation and startup with internal teams.
• Act as main contact between clients, engineering team and stakeholders to ensure effective communication.
• Design refrigeration and ventilation systems meeting technical, energy efficiency, and regulatory requirements.
• Prepare project budgets, cost estimates and technical proposals.
• Identify grant opportunities and assist in subsidy applications.
• Ensure projects comply with applicable codes, standards and regulations.
• Perform other related duties as required.

Your background and your strengths

• College diploma (DEC) in Building Mechanical Engineering or a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or Construction Engineering.
• Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience.
• Proficiency with the Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, and Word).
• Proficiency with AutoCAD software.
• Ability to read, interpret, and analyze mechanical and refrigeration drawings/plans.
• Strong attention to detail and professional rigor.
• Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage follow-ups effectively.
