Stantec Consulting International Ltd. in Canada is seeking a junior Environmental Planner/Project Manager to join the Assessment and Permitting team within Environmental Services.

You will support environmental planning, approvals, and permitting for Oil and Gas clients, working within a multidisciplinary, collaborative environment. Qualifications

• 2-5 years of experience in environmental program and project support for infrastructure projects.
• University degree or diploma in Environmental Planning, Environmental Studies, or related field.
• Experience with environmental impact assessments and regulatory approvals is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Support project tasks and deliverables and assist with implementing the environmental assessment and permitting process as it applies to projects.
• Communicate and liaise with a variety of project stakeholders, including clients, regulatory agencies, members of the public, and internal multi-disciplinary teams.
• Assist with writing and coordinating proposals and reports tailored to specific project requirements.
• Assist with project tasks and deliverables related to environmental components and/or Ontario Energy Board environmental studies.
• Conduct desktop studies to support regulatory requirements for various assignments.
• Assist with the implementation of consultation programs with a focus on diverse stakeholders.
• Communicate and liaise effectively with project stakeholders, including internal teams, clients, regulatory agencies, Indigenous communities, and the public.
• Work with a group of professionals across Canada, focusing on environmental assessments, permitting and regulatory compliance.
• Assist with project tasks, deliverables and permitting process as it applies to Oil and Gas projects.
