Job summary

AtkinsRéalis is seeking a Junior Manufacturing Engineering Analyst in Canada to support nuclear manufacturing and spare parts projects. You will work under supervision with experienced engineers, helping with production control, planning, procurement, and quality verification while potentially travelling to facilities and client sites.

The role emphasizes learning and applying ASME code requirements, quality procedures, and manufacturing processes.

Qualifications

• New graduate or early‑career engineer with 0 to 2 years of relevant experience in manufacturing, fabrication, production engineering, procurement engineering, or industrial operations.
• Exposure to quality assurance programs in regulated industries is an asset.
• Familiarity with ASME Boiler and Pressure Vessel Code is considered an asset.
• CAD experience using Solid Edge, SolidWorks is considered an asset.

Responsibilities

• Under supervision, provide manufacturing engineering support for nuclear manufacturing and spare parts projects.
• Assist with reviewing engineering requirements and developing practical manufacturing approaches that support quality, schedule, and cost objectives.
• Support preparation and maintenance of manufacturing plans, work instructions, routers, manufacturing packages, production records, and technical procedures.
• Assist with Project Authorization Packages (Pro-Acts), Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs), Design Deviation Reports (DDRs), CAS activities, non‑conformances, engineering queries, and manufacturing deviations.
• Provide technical support to Production Control, fabrication shops, Procurement Engineering, Quality, suppliers, assembly, testing, and troubleshooting activities.
• Participate in manufacturing issue investigations and support development of technical resolutions.
• Assist with reviewing supplier manufacturing methods and documentation for fabrication, welding, inspection, and testing.
• Adhere to applicable specifications, nuclear quality requirements, and ASME Code sections III, VIII, and Appendix 23.
• Participate in design reviews to improve manufacturability and product quality.
• Support cost estimation, manufacturing assessments, bid reviews, schedules, risk assessments, and proposals.
• Prepare engineering reports, calculations, and deliverables under supervision.
• Coordinate activities with Engineering, Quality, Manufacturing, Procurement, Supply Chain, Project Management, customers, and suppliers.
• Contribute to continuous improvement in safety, efficiency, quality, cost, and delivery.
