AtkinsRéalis Nuclear Inc. in Mississauga, Ontario is seeking a Junior Mechanical CAD Designer to support field services projects within the Candu Field Services department.

The role requires working on fast-paced, technically complex projects and obtaining security clearance for client sites. The candidate will prepare electronic documents and 3D models using AutoCAD, MicroStation, Solid Edge and SolidWorks, following QA programs and project requirements while collaborating with design teams and

Qualifications

• Two years of mechanical design and drafting experience.
• Familiar with 2D and 3D CAD applications.
• ASME Y14.5 knowledge is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Prepare electronic documents in AutoCAD, MicroStation, Solid Edge, SolidWorks and other CAD tools.
• Create precise 3D models for design and visualization using Model-Based Definition (MBD).
• Follow client file management systems for document storage.
• Prepare engineering deliverables for nuclear and conventional systems per QA programs and project requirements.
• Interface with engineering teams to provide practical design solutions.
