Job summary

49North invites a Junior Member of Technical Staff (Engineer) in Software Development to join the Global Procedure Designer program, contributing to the instrument flight procedure design system. You will work in a hybrid environment, plan tasks, write and test code in Java and/or C++, and collaborate with a diverse engineering team while learning domain concepts.

Security clearance at the secret level is required; CGP/ITAR compliance is part of the process.

Qualifications

• Programming experience in an object-oriented language.
• Knowledge of object-oriented design patterns.
• Experience with Java and/or C++ is desirable.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to solve complex problems within budget and on schedule.
• University degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics or other relevant discipline, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Previous experience in the Aviation domain is not required—but a keen interest in learning about it, is.

Role: Jr Software Developer

As a Software Developer with the Global Procedure Designer (GPD) program, you will make worldwide flight safer by improving the world’s leading instrument flight procedure design system. The compensation range for this position is $65,600.00 - $90,200 annually. The specific compensation offered will be based on the qualifications and experience of the successful candidate.
