Job summary

49North is seeking a junior Software Developer to join the ACE program, building data-driven aeronautical charting systems. You will design, code and test software, working from requirements to deliver large-scale applications with a team of domain experts.

You will contribute to a fast-paced CI environment, follow quality standards, and grow technically while pursuing security clearance as part of the role.

Qualifications

• Programming experience in an object-oriented language.
• Knowledge of object-oriented design patterns.
• Experience with Perl, JavaScript and/or TypeScript desirable.
• University degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics or other relevant discipline, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Keen interest in learning aviation domain.

You will solve complex problems through hard work, a passion for quality, an inquisitive mind, a team-first approach and an innovative edge. • Previous experience in the Aviation domain and Aircraft navigation concepts and systems is not required - but a keen interest in learning about it, is

Successful candidates must obtain and hold security clearance at the secret level, and pass security assessment for the Controlled Goods Program (CGP) and ITAR.

The compensation range for this position is $65,600.00 - $90,200 annually. The specific compensation offered will be based on the qualifications and experience of the successful candidate.
