Perth Radiological Clinic (PRC) is the largest private radiological practice in Western Australia with 22 hospital and clinic locations. We provide high-quality diagnostic imaging services, using the most up-to-date technology and highly trained medical professionals. We are the official medical imaging provider for the Fremantle Dockers, Perth Glory, Perth and West Perth Football Clubs.

The opportunity

Perth Rad Clinic is seeking a Junior Medical Receptionist to join our team in a permanent, full-time role. This role requires travel across our Armadale North and Armadale Health Service clinics, Monday to Friday, with 1 in 3 Saturdays mornings.

You’ll provide excellent customer service to patients and stakeholders, making it a great opportunity for someone looking to advance in a customer-facing role. Full training will be provided during the first eight weeks, with ongoing support for your development.

Reporting to the Clerical Supervisor, your day will include:

  1. Providing a warm and welcoming experience for patients at the front desk, offering assistance when needed.
  2. Chaperoning medical imaging procedures, ensuring patient comfort and safety throughout.
  3. Handling key administrative tasks, including the preparation and printing of consent forms with attention to detail.
  4. Coordinating the packing and dispatch of films/CDs for courier delivery, ensuring timely arrival.
  5. Acting as a vital communication link between staff, technicians, and doctors, ensuring smooth workflow.
  6. Keeping the reception and kitchen areas organized and welcoming for staff and patients.
  7. Coordinating refreshments for doctors.
  8. Ensuring strict confidentiality by securely destroying sensitive documents and protecting patient information.
  9. Proactively tracking and following up on outstanding reports, ensuring timely completion and accuracy.

What do you need to be considered?

The ideal candidate will have at least 1 year of experience in a customer service role. You should be able to communicate professionally both written and verbally, and have the ability to learn and use software and systems. You will present with an approachable manner and display a high level of patient care.

Additionally, the following requirements are necessary:

  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transport.
  • Full Australian working rights (ensure unrestricted rights if on a visa).
  • Ability to provide a National Police Check within 6 months or willingness to obtain one.
