Base pay range

CA$37,000.00/yr - CA$40,000.00/yr

• Lead S&OP process to ensure is always “in stock and on price”
• Provide daily updates for inventory management system
• Work closely with Operations to ensure awareness of all supply related issues such as delays at ports

Import Management

• Oversee all inbound order fulfilment and be informed and abreast of trends in international shipping
• Oversee all POs after Proforma Invoice is approved, including but not limited to:
• Obtain and propose to management quotes on shipping/freight
• Ensure production on schedule in coordination with Purchasing Coordinator and supplier
• Ensure suppliers aligned with PSFC documentary requirements
• Obtain pre-shipment inspection reports from suppliers and provide to Procurement for approval
• Proactively ensure prompt shipping from supplier
• Check supplier invoices for accuracy and submit to finance for payment
• Ensure timely and accurate shipping documents received from supplier
• Submit pertinent documents to Customs Broker
• Checking freight invoices and submit to finance for payment
• Obtain timely Arrival Notice/eManifest and submit to Customs
• Obtain timely Pickup Number and Return Location and advising drayage co to collect from terminal on time
• Submit final arrival notice to management and finance for approval
• Oversee supply database design and usage. Work with IT/IS to continuously improve database utility, with phased implementation of upgrades including eventual process and systems for suppliers’ self-input
• Ensure timely CFIA and Customs Clearance and container pickup with proactive document and supplier management
• Update pertinent internal tracking tools on ongoing (hourly) basis, ensuring absolute data accuracy, and propose new methods and systems to improve workflow and accuracy
• Ensure accurate and timely tracking of payments, including claims for damages, in coordination with Finance and Purchasing
• Ensure all Import Licences are current and active

3PL and Local Freight

• Oversight of local trucking charges and ensure charges are correct
• Work with India Team to track and report distribution costs, including warehousing and delivery, for imported and domestic products
• Allocate and reconcile CHEP/PECO pallet programs

Backup as needed for staff vacations/absences

Daily Responsibilities:

• Answer phone as needed
• Other general office duties as required

Advanced Excel required, and comfort with Word, Outlook, PowerPoint
