Qualifications

• Experience in relevant laboratory testing preferred.
• Keen interest in working for mining industry or on mining projects.
• Familiarity with maintenance and troubleshooting of laboratory test equipment.

Responsibilities

• Hands-on laboratory testing to assess physical properties of materials.
• Performing flow loop testing and rheological characterization.
• Preparing factual reports as required of test results.

Skills

Excellent computer skills, especially Word and Excel

Good written and verbal communication skills

Familiarity with ASTM test procedures

Ability to work in a collegial environment

Strong people skills

Education

Technician or Technology Diploma in Metallurgical / Mining or Chemical Engineering

Current status as Certified Engineering Technician/Technologist
