Job summary

Reliance Home Comfort is hiring a Junior Installer in Maple Ridge. You will learn and perform maintenance on HVAC equipment, ensure safe operation of gas appliances, and support both field and warehouse tasks.

This entry-level role offers training, a clear career path, and hands-on experience with a broad range of Reliance services. Ideal candidates are dependable, have Grade 12, a valid Class 5 license, and a willingness to rotate shifts.

Qualifications

• Must have completed Grade 12 or equivalent.
• Must have a valid Class 5 Driver’s License.
• Willing to work rotating shifts and standby duties.
• Physically able to perform tasks (lifting up to 15 kg, bending, kneeling, outdoor work).
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Very punctual and dependable.

Responsibilities

• Repair and maintain HVAC equipment and accessories per specs and local codes.
• Ensure safe operation of gas appliances and educate customers on care.
• Assist with service, water heater installation, or related duties in field or warehouse.
• Build positive customer relationships and promote other Reliance products/services.
• Demonstrate problem-solving to ensure customer satisfaction.

What will you do?

• Learn and grow as an important part of a team that cares about Reliance and its customers.
• Responsible to professionally repair and perform maintenance on HVAC equipment and accessory items in accordance with manufacturer specifications and local codes.
• Ensure the safe operation of all Gas appliances and correctly instruct customers on proper care and maintenance.
• Be flexible to work in service, water heater installation, and or assistance roles/duties, in the field or in the warehouse, in assigned areas and surrounding areas as assigned.
• Willing to learn and grow as part of a progressive customer service-oriented team and be flexible to the work assigned in the spirit of this multi-functional role.
• Responsible for creating a positive relationship with customers, offering for sale other company products and services.
• Demonstrate ability to communicate and problem solve to ensure customer satisfaction.

• Completed a minimum of Grade 12 or equivalent
• Must have at least a Class 5 Driver’s License
• Be willing and able to work rotating shifts and standby duties as required
• Must be physically capable of performing all work required of this position, i.e. occasional lifting of 15 kg up to shoulder height, frequent bending, occasional squatting/kneeling, working inside and outside in all types of weather within environments that can be dusty and/or slippery
• Must be able to communicate clearly and effectively, both in written and verbal communications
• Must have strong interpersonal and problem-solving skills
• Must have outstanding customer service skills
• Very punctual and dependable.
• Maintain company vehicle to neat clean and safe standard
• Previous HVAC experience preferred -Some knowledge of the heating, cooling, and boiler trades will be an asset
