Job summary

Holy Family Catholic Regional Division seeks a Full Time, 1.0 FTE Junior High Generalist Teacher for Glenmary School in Peace River, Alberta for the 2026-2027 school year beginning August 27, 2026, with the potential for extension.

The successful candidate will teach Physical Education and core Junior High subjects (Grades 7–9), work with diverse learners, and collaborate with a supportive team in a rural community dedicated to a Christ-centered education.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of inclusive education for diverse learners.
• Understanding of First Nation, Metis and Inuit students.
• Experience supporting English as a second language.
• Ability to design programs and accommodations.

Responsibilities

• Teach Junior High (Grades 7–9) including PE, Humanities or Math/Science.
• Collaborate with staff and support inclusive learning in a rural school.

Junior High Generalist Teacher

2026-2027 School Year

Glenmary School, located in Peace River, Alberta requires a Full Time, 1.0 FTE, Probationary, Junior High Generalist Teacher for the 2026-2027 school year starting August 27, 2026, up to and including June 29, 2027, with the possibility of extension.

Course assignments will include Physical Education, as well as Humanities or Math and Science courses in Junior high (Grades 7-9) appropriate to the candidate's skill set within the school environment.

The successful candidate ideally will have a knowledge and understanding of inclusive education, First Nation Metis and Inuit students, English as a second language, programming, and skills to support students who require individualized programs, enrichment, modifications, and/or accommodations to their learning.

The successful candidate must be willing to live in a rural community environment and be a team player, willing to collaborate, communicate and work together with fellow colleagues. Catholic and non-Catholic applicants are welcome to apply.
