Job summary

Arcadis is seeking a Junior Geotechnical Specialist in Ontario, Canada to support geotechnical investigations, data interpretation, and design for infrastructure projects. You will work under senior engineers, contribute to fieldwork, and help develop parameters for foundation and earthworks analyses.

The role requires a Civil Engineering degree with a geotechnical focus, 1–5 years of experience, and an EIT designation or eligibility.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering with a focus on Geotechnical Engineering.
• 1-5 years of geotechnical experience.
• EIT designation or eligibility for registration.
• Exposure to geotechnical investigations, design, or construction support is an asset.
• Familiarity with GeoStudio, PLAXIS, Rocscience, Civil 3D, or GIS software is considered an asset.

Responsibilities

• Plan and execute geotechnical and hydrogeological investigations.
• Interpret soil, rock, groundwater data and contribute to design parameters.
• Assist with foundation, earthworks, slope stability, seepage and settlements analyses.
• Prepare calculations, figures, and technical reports; support QA, safety, and project coordination.
