Job summary

Arcadis in Vancouver is seeking an Intermediate Geotechnical Engineer to join our Western Canada Geotechnics team. You will work under senior leads on infrastructure projects spanning roads, transit, ports and marine sectors, gaining exposure to design, field work and construction support.

The role emphasizes planning site investigations, analyzing soil/rock/groundwater, and producing geotechnical reports while collaborating with multi-discipline teams to deliver on time and within budget.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Geotechnical, Civil or Geological Engineering; Master's is an asset.
• Eligible for P.Eng. in British Columbia or willing to pursue registration.
• 3-8 years of geotechnical consultancy or infrastructure design experience.
• Experience interpreting geotechnical investigations and preparing reports.
• Familiarity with geotechnical design of foundations, retaining structures, slopes and ground improvement.
• Proficiency with geotechnical software and technical report writing.

Responsibilities

• Plan and execute geotechnical site investigations and oversee field activities.
• Conduct analyses and design work under supervision for foundations, slopes, tunnels and ground improvement.
• Prepare geotechnical interpretative reports, design reports and calculations.
• Provide construction support, review submittals and collaborate with construction teams.
• Mentor junior staff and participate in multi-discipline project teams.
