Job summary

ABB is seeking an Associate Field Service Technologist based in Coquitlam, BC, supporting on-site and remote services for DCS systems across Western Canada. You will travel to customer sites, diagnose equipment issues, and implement technical solutions with mentorship from ABB specialists.

Recent graduates or early-career technologists are encouraged to apply. A Diploma in Electrical and Computer Engineering Technology is required, and you must be able to travel domestically and internationally.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Electrical and Computer Engineering Technology (Automation and Instrumentation) or equivalent.
• Educational experience with control systems (DCS and PLCs).
• Willingness to travel within Canada and internationally.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and repair DCS equipment on-site.
• Identify and resolve process-related issues; present clear recommendations.
• Prepare service documentation, reports for installations, maintenance and audits.
• Travel regularly within Western Canada and internationally for on-site services and training.
