Qualifications

• Completion of a three-year college program in civil or construction engineering technology and/or Landscaping Architecture.
• Ability to read blueprints and recognize occupational hazards.
• Valid drivers’ licence with a good drivers abstract.

Responsibilities

• Work alongside the Chief Estimator and Estimator Coordinator.
• Assist in preparing quotations for various construction projects.
• Gather all information needed to price the project.

Skills

Excellent oral and written communication skills

Computer skills in Excel and Word Pro

Ability to physically measure areas onsite

Self-motivated and detail-focused

Ability to complete take off quantities from construction and landscape plans

Education

Completion of a three-year college program in civil or construction engineering technology or Landscaping Architecture

Certification by the Canadian Institute of Quantity Surveyors
