Job summary

Millennium Land Ltd. in Estevan, SK, is seeking a Junior Environmental Scientist. This in-office, full-time role emphasizes approximately 70% field-based work focused on Oil & Gas reclamation and 30% office duties.

You will report to the Manager of Reclamation and support project teams across surveys, sampling, and regulatory reporting. The ideal candidate has a post-secondary degree in Agrology or Environmental Sciences, with certifications desirable.

Qualifications

• Post-secondary degree or diploma (degree in Agrology, Environmental Sciences, or similar field preferred).
• Hold, or be eligible for, certification from a Professional Organization (SIA, APEGS, SASTT, ASPB, etc.).
• Experience in the environmental field considered an asset.
• Knowledge of Saskatchewan oil and gas sector.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong time management and organizational skills.
• Valid Class 5 drivers license with clean abstract.

Responsibilities

• Conducting Gas Migration and SCVF Testing
• Conducting Environmental Site Assessments (Phase I and Phase II)
• Conducting work associated with wellsite and flowline abandonment
• Conducting Spill Response for Oil & Gas properties
• Groundwater well sampling and analysis
• Preparing formal reports and approval submissions
• Other duties as required.

As a Junior Environmental Scientist your work will be approximately 70% field-based and 30% office-based. Specifically, primary duties will relate to Oil & Gas Reclamation and Remediation. You will report directly to the Manager of Reclamation and have the support of the entire Millennium team.

What We Are Looking For:

• Experience with maintaining, calibrating, and using a variety of monitoring instruments
